Get Inspired

Hello 2011...... I love the start of a new year! its our chance to start over, make changes, keep what worked and trash what didn’t. Finish what we started the year before.  The possibilities are endless!!!

By now we should have thought about making new years resolutions. Some of us might have doubts about whether or not we can achieve what we so desire and then some of us are so totally confident. Some of us might have already broken some of our new years resolutions.

What ever your resolution is, this message is here to remind you and me that we always have a choice and we can choose to be the directors of our lives or we can choose to be actors and be directed by life. Most of us here have more potential than we give ourselves credit for.

For a moment, visualize with me how you’d like your life to be on December 31st 2011.

To help you keep this visual alive, create a dreamboard on how you want your life to look at the end of the year. Now visualize what you want to achieve, who you want to be and the resources you will need to achieve your dream goal. Create a collage of pictures, words or drawings to represent it. Get a clear picture in your mind of what you want and when you want it by in your life. Then put your dreamboard somewhere where you will see it every day - on your bathroom wall, fridge or by your desk.
In study at Yale University in 1947, 3% who set goals achieved more, and accumulated more wealth than the other 97% who didn't set goals-combined!

Now the magic happens when you share this dreamboard you have created with all those around you. Tell all your friends and family what you are going to do!!!. Put all your doubts and fears behind you. Don’t ask yourself. What if I fail? The question you need to be asking is, what if I succeed? What if I make it? I challenge you to start the new year with the end in mind.
On my dreamboard I put "I love living life, I am Happy!!"
They say great things come to those who plan for the future and believe in themselves.
What will your dreamboard look like?

  1. I saw Nick's video Life without Limbs the other day, it was amazing and inspiring. I love the idea of creating a dreamboard, I just have to work out what I want mine to be :)

  2. Exactly true! A dreamboard is vital as it is always there to keep you focussed or just to remind you of your dreams that you really want.

    Great post Joann

  3. I love the dream board idea! I combine my dream board with a plan to obtain, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Regardless of the outcome I have daily direction to head into! That is comforting!
